A couple shots from Saturday. My son and I at Stevens Pass (WA). I was the rabbit; him behind wearing the GoPro (hence the somewhat fish-eye look):

Wow, as I wrote that, I realized that "double exposure" is a term from a bygone era. Can't happen anymore, although you can add to images together in your photo app.

I remember having a camera with which you had to remember to advance the film or you'd get a double exposure. I also remember making intentional ones to make photos like this:

I remember the old alchemy of making a double exposure too ... fun stuff!

That one is actually just a reflection. One of the things I like about digital photography is that taking a pix is essentially free and the results are instant. You think something looks interesting? Take a shot of it.

So we're in Paris, walking along the Champs-Elysses, and I saw the mannequen heads and thought them kinda odd looking. Snap. I didn't even notice the trees in the reflection until I looked at the result, and in retrospect, they make the photo more interesting.

I'm a landscape guy myself, but you never know what you'll see, even in a busy city. I took this picture of a guy cleaning a window display moments after the mannequin pix ... thought it was kinda amusing. lol

Saturday friends and I finally had a chance to ride (for the first time - its a long drive from Orange County) the Big Sycamore Canyon area at the Pt. Mugu State Park, Malibu, CA right off the beach. Unfortunately start of the summer, it was burned badly so it was all just a big moonscape. Didn't stop us and at least gave us a chance to see all the trails. It was a tough day as there was a horrendous steep climb with many switchbacks up to a great view area. From there we took the Backbone trail but down to the Canyon. Fun but scary... just imagine this place with green vegetation... hopefully by springtime...anyway finished off the day with a lunch on the beach... nice!
