Boy, you aren't kidding. We could actually use some of that around here. But as long as it's sunny and ridiculously clear, I'm gonna eat, drink, and be merry, cuz tomorrow ...

That little dot of a cyclist near the bottom my sweet wife going around the corner. That's Morro Rock off in the distance.

Two days, two hikes. Saturday, a hike down the Taos Gorge to the Rio Grande, across the river from Manby Hot Springs. About 6K ft.
Today, a hike up to near the top of Wheeler Peak. Got up to the final couple of switch-backs before it got too windy. About 12.5K ft. Photo taken on way back down, having a bite to eat.

See here is something you don't see everyday in CA... riding a popular mountain bike trail (Telegraph - Chino Hills) and reached 4 Corners... all of a sudden wranglers came by herding rogue cows... it was fun to watch for awhile until they starting tying up and leaving calves here and there...
Next day, same location saw these guys sniffing the grass where the cows had been:
Was a beautiful day:

Whoa ... nice pix up there! That whitecrack selfie is great.
Been skiing more than biking as of late. This is Snowbasin UT. I wanna come back to do some biking in the summer.

Finally got to do a bit more than a short ride around the neighborhood today. Rode down to the Delaware River at Washington's Crossing. Walked out on the bridge to Pennsylvania and took this photo looking upstream. The ice is all jumbled up and not moving. Where the water shows, it's flowing with more or less its usual speed.
Hope to get another ride in tomorrow!

This weekend - did a ride off Highway 39 to Crystal Lake. On the way home played with my superzoom camera and caught boys at play:

Hey ... Saturday or Sunday? We were up there too. You'd remember us as the ones who were shivering their tails off!

So we only rode the trail out to and past Cogswell Dam and then did 39 past Crystal Lake to the saddle (where there's no traffic). Tell me about climbing Highway 39 - where do you go... where do you start? I'm excited about giving it a try - seems like traffic is light and fairly "polite"...
