Cinelli Supercorsa for $48

Got an email from Cinelli about these today. $48.60. kind of cool but not sure if worth that much.

Yeah, the price seems a bit steep considering the front tire seems to have been glued on crooked.

I see they have opted for a Dutch style lock front brake for instant spoke bending endo inducing stopping power.

About 2 cm apparently. Of course you have to accommodate for massive leg swelling like that guy has.

Are you sure it's a Supercorsa? Can you post the seatpost diameter and provide a model number

If you do go for it, I think that the first upgrade you should make is new wheels.....those probably don't have enough spokes for your weight.

I thought this was going to be one of those things where someone found a Cinelli at a thrift store.

If you want one, it's worth that much easily... Try making one yourself and keep track of time invested, and see how much you have in it before the end. I'll even let you skip the dozens of hours of carving experience and X dollars of tools, wood and paint that it takes at a minimum. This is a lovely bit of handicraft!

my Corgis have been wrapped up in a box for 50 years...
there seems to be a swath of similar shelf cloggers on ebay currently. Not 100% sure of compatible scale but about $12.

^^ I have quite a few Corgi’s as well. The detail in some of the early die cast toys is amazing and no wonder that the same detail that attracts those of us to hand made bicycles also attracts us to model fascination.

I'd look a little closer. Those aren't figures, they're greeting cards with pictures of figures. No wonder they were cheaper

Those look like cast pewter or plastic, which I hadn't considered for the first one posted. It looked carved to me. If they're cast then after the initial one is carved they can be made fairly cheaply, but it's still quite a bit of paint work! $30-50 still seems reasonable for such a little novelty.
