We could ask the AI program to do some research and find out what percentage of BF threads are recycled already.

...the arguments seem to draw energy from an alternative universe. We're OK here, but in that alternate universe, the sun is probably dimming rapidly.

Edit: I forgot about waste heat, *facepalm*

When I stumbled into this place, never to escape, way back in 2014, General Cycling Discussion was way down at the bottom of the list and had very little traffic. Since the brilliant idea of moving it up to the top traffic exploded and has, I'm sure, created massive ad revenue. Kudos.

Care to comment on the Signal:Noise ratio? I am guessing it's low.

I remember when the first post of a thread would at least have a sentence or two. I mean, really. A title designed to instigate, and then nothing? C'mon.

The chain lube topic seems to come up every few months, so that's self-sustaining. Also the carbon fiber/aluminum/steel/bamboo/titanium/magnesium frame debate, the click-in vs. flat vs strap-in pedals questions, and tubeless vs tube-lined tires can be included on a list of sustainable threads. .

IMO 'sustainable' was never the word the o.p. was looking for. It's clearly sustainable. We all know what the o.p. means though. Covid is partly to blame. GCD's placement, forced or otherwise, on top of more narrow focus topic forums is exactly where one should expect to find it. That can't be blamed. What can? Géographie mes amis. Géographie.

Yeah, but the noise/signal ratio is really high. So there's that.

Silly rabbit. My "Lynskey" is a Habanero. So you may have my Lynskey as it does not exist.

Yes because aero trumps weight.

Over the course of 40k+ posts and the better part of two decades you probably made up for it a long time ago. Carry on!

Datlas obviously has sustainability, average a bit more than 7 posts per day over the course of 15.5 years. I wonder, which member has the most all time posts on Bike Forums?

We've got a couple running now for most threads started, with the predictable loss of quality. "Do you..." "What does..."
