Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just this
which is nothing to write home about but staves off the impulse to buy a whole bike.

That frozen bottle was one of three bottles I took and would use that bottle for my last bottle. The other two I would fill one (I put empty bottles in the freezer overnight) with ice then pour chilled Gator into it and that was my second bottle to drink from. Then my last bottle I would fill about 1/2 ice and pour in the chilled Gator and drink that one first.

I also carried a Camelback on my back for longer rides and filled the bladder with ice then put chilled water in.

Well worth the wait IMHO, though I am biased. Did you order a custom paint scheme?

Nope, just standard.. No 58s available anywhere. It seems that the tubes pulled are just getting off the shelf as the first step of the build.. It was like $450 more for custom paint and they wanted another 8 weeks for a one off, didn't want to wait.

hoping these will have a wider toebox than my Sidi's so my feet won't scream at me on longer rides.

nah on longer or hotter rides my feet swell up a bit too much for the skinny Sidi's.. I've used them for a few years now and i got tired of it this weekend haha. Shipped today. hopefully they are the ticket. My friend got the LG Course 2LS pricy versions and loves them so i have hope.

I have wide feet and I use Bont. There's an EBAY seller selling them for under $100.

If you can get over on how they look like it's heaven-sent. I was even suggested for some customs but I use their regular Wide width and it's excellent.

I'm using a Bontager model that works well for me too and I like the way they look.

I'd give it a shot. A lot of people look for stiff shoes - well, it doesn't get anymore stiff than these. I wear the Vaypor Premiums and the material is super stiff. I could probably murder someone with these shoes.

and surprisingly they "disappear" during rides. They're lightweight and the stack height is super low.

Popped a spoke on my commute to work so had to take it to the LBS on campus to get it replaced. In the process, got told my chain was fried and had to replace that too. So:

1 spoke
1 chain
1 labor

Rough start to the week.

Those jeans are too long for you, and how did you get those shoes on your feet with those long, nasty toenails?

Found a toupe in the "awesome saddle deals" bin at the LBS for 20 bucks!! Been looking to finally upgrade anyways. Nearly half the weight of my old one, tho now I really really hate how my saddle bag looks, time to find a new system i suppose.
