Love the old 3 speed Raleighs

And other vintage rides. Bike count is up to ten now so I’ve joined this forum for help to restore them to their former glory. Mechanical knowledge is growing but need to improve daily.
I live to ride with others to beat cancer. My annual event is in June. We ride 375-390km in one day from Kelowna BC to Vancouver. This year 150 riders and crew raised over $1 million.

Welcome to bike forums. Well done on the monster fund raising ride. I used to have an old humber with a four speed hub. I do regret selling it.

Welcome to BikeForums and you an A+ on your introduction. That is just such a good thing to do. My Mom had her 90th B-day on June 6th and she has been battling cervical cancer since the diagnosis last November. She is physically recovering pretty well from the chemo and radiation, but it certainly has taken a toll on her. In honor of her 90th, I donated 90$ to a gentleman that was doing a ride to raise money to battle childrens cancer. When I read her the thank you note from the fellow she told me she could not have gotten a better birthday present. I also have a good ways to go in the mechanical skills area. I did my first re-build this past winter and, for me, it was a good experience and the bike came out really well. Hope to hear more from you.
