Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

heart rate monitor able to d/l to computer...

I had a post on here some time ago about wanting to get a good heart rate monitor.... I've ditched the gps function since I just got a Garmin forerunner 201 for free so All i need now is the HRM...

Can someone recommend a good HRM that downloads to a computer?
I was looking at the Polar S150 but it doesn't do that one function...

Any others?
Thanks for all the help for a newbie...

You better give a price range... otherwise you'll a lot of useless recommendations. I personally like my Polar 710i (cyclometer functions + HRM + download to PC) but I suspect it's more than you want to spend.

yeah, I didn't want to crazy with this, but most of the ones I've seen that do the interface with a computer are fairly pricey...

the biggest thing for me is the fact that I really like the Polar line... but they're kinda pricey... And I also do a little more running, so I can't use a cyclocomputer exclusively... (the AF will do that to you...)

but check www.polarusa.com

that's a start, but also look into bikenashbar.com and performancebike.com under heart rate monitors...

anything else?

The funny thing is all I really want is a computer download feature that'll let me see
heart rate vs ride time/speed. Cadence is optional fluff.
