Desperately Seeking Bianchi’s 1986 catalog
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a pink vintage Bianchi Sport SX - almost positive it was a1986. I had been in the process of reviewing all of my parts to see which components had been added and which were original. It’s a long story I’d prefer not explaining in this particular thread, but my reason for doing this is very important.
At the beginning of last week, I had started this process, and was using a 1986 Bianchi catalog I had found online with ease. The catalog started with photos of each bike model, and each bike was arranged by the class (I don’t remember what those classes were, but an example would be racing, leisure, sport, etc.). After those photos, there was a spreadsheet with each bike model in its own row, and each column featured a bicycle part. So the chart allowed you to quickly and clearly see exactly what type of rear derailleur, wheel, brakes, etc., of each bike made that year at a glance.
So, here’s my problem
I has accessed that website several times, several days in a row. Yesterday, I went to Google, attempting to type in some general related keywords to get the website to pop up again, just as I had earlier that week with ease. I couldn’t find it, so I referenced my search history and was dumbfounded - it was not there.
I looked at each tab/window in my browser, referenced other devices to no avail. I attempted to search again, modifying my keywords and started to get really frustrated by the fact that I was able to find essentially every other year within that decade but 1986 and 1987. There would be lists of Bianchi catalogs - some of them skipped over those years entirely. Or, the link did not work, taking me to an error page. Some links teased me into believing I’d finally found it, but only featured the first three pages of the catalog (whereas every other 1980s catalogs in the list included the full catalog).
I just want to be clear that I am absolutely positive that I had viewed a 1986 and/or 1987 Bianchi catalog. I have a photographic memory. I also remember certain things like the catalog allowing me to know the specific color of my bike model (which was rose, and some other word). The catalog informed me of my specific wheel size as well as its brand.
I’ve tried searching by using different browsers, and just kept going at , revising my search terms and have not been able to find the catalog again. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what website I had found the catalog on (so, I don’t remember if it was Bianchi’s site or not).
Like I said, it is crucial that I find this catalog again. Basically, it might result in me needing to return the bike and make a police report. This is a really stressful situation and I do have time constraints, so I’m hoping somebody here could help me.
If anybody can find the catalog I’m talking about or knows another site that lists 1986 and 1987 Bianchi bike models and all of their specific bike parts, I would be so very grateful.
I have some ideas as to why it’s not possible for me, personally, to find this catalog again, but I don’t think those same problems will extend to nyone else attempting to search for the catalog. I also have a hard time believing that the site I visited just so happened to get erased from the internet one day before it had become crucial for me to access it.
Thanks ahead of time to anyone that can help!

These are allegedly from a 1987 catalog:
If that's what you're after, bookmark this page: https://labibleduvelocataloguesbianch...nchi-1987.html
There's another 1987 catalog (without the table) here: https://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/txsaari...Bianchi_87.pdf

Let's start by having you post the serial number. That should tell us if it's a 1986 or 1987 model. Then we'll know which catalogue to focus on.

I see a Sport SX in that 87 catalogue in New Rose.
BTW, if you're in Canada, the models could be different in different years. This may apply to many countries.

Unless it was made on "a winter's day, in a deep and dark December." My Bianchi, with a 1.Mxxxx serial number, is by all accounts a 1982 model.

Still no serial number. Pictures would else have helped. I guess the desperation has dissipated.
Regardless, why would someone with photographic (eidetic) memory need to reference a catalogue that they'd seen several times, several days in a row, only a week ago?
