Ultegra di2 parts
Sourcing parts for a di2 upgrade, I’m needing a 8050 braze on front derailleur and internal battery. Where do you recommend for cost and reliability?

Any place that you think is trustworthy and has what you want at the price you are willing to pay. For online purchases I'll easily compare six to maybe over a dozen sites. Many just as a result of a Google on the particular part model I'm looking for.
Reliability will be all about Shimano since you are seeking only Di2. So why it's part of your question I don't understand.
As for whether you can trust a site, well if you've been on the internet for any length of time, you should have some idea about what sites look trustworthy and which are not.

Bikes: Co-Motion Cappuccino Tandem,'88 Bob Jackson Touring, Co-Motion Cascadia Touring, Open U.P., Ritchie Titanium Breakaway, Frances Cycles SmallHaul cargo bike. Those are the permanent ones; others wander in and out of the stable occasionally as well.

Pretty much all newer Shimano parts are now under strict price control by Shimano which prevents discounters from cutting price online so price is the same just about everywhere. If there is a big discount buy it right away as Shimano will shut them down as a licensed retailer. Shimano is really getting away from the discounters that are more likely to be shady so everyone left should be reasonably reliable.

Universal Cycles shows both in stock. The battery price went up from a year ago. $130 to $160, ouch.

I had customer do that with a very nice German E-bike he came to us got tons of info and then proceeded to buy it from some homegoods seller on eBay and even had a unauthorized dealer print up a fake receipt, he ended up needing warranty and was rejected by Bosch and by the manufacturer and was really pissed. I loved seeing it because he only saved around $100-200 off the price (of a $8k+ bike) and it screwed him out of warranty and he had to pay $900ish for a new battery which would have been covered.
