I was not looking for another bike, but when this one popped up locally with a gift-like buy-now price of 40euros I had to jump on it.
Promisingly, it came with road tires, (gentle pavement life) and almost everything else is original, other than the saddle and post.
WTB rims are still true and it stops like when it left the factory. Suspension is all solid and 'plush' still, and the frame shows no signs of rough treatment. Now with some good old Panaracer Fire XC installed and a new saddle at the correct height, it is a blast.

Now with some 2.20" rubber
This is a really capable bike, it flies both down and up hill. I love it!
I swapped the 175mm STX crank arms for the same in 170mm, hoping it would make a difference, which it did.
