My size and local, but the lack of a price is a complete turn-off for me. Looks like rough paint and all fasteners have been removed / swapped, but I didn't see any significant corrosion or damage.

I cannot disagree with that - real turnoff for many I think. Looks like it'd clean up decently and sport a bit of patina, but unless it's one of those gotta have it bikes for you... Sometimes if I'm bored I'll message someone like that just to see what's up and ask a few questions to start a dialogue, like how it rode, has it been crashed, any dings/dents not obvious in pictures etc. - sometimes they'll spit out a price right away. But this is way out of my size range and not on my list.

You don’t see these pop up very frequently. I think that overall his asking price is reasonable considering the fact that it seems to be road ready, and not a project. You often see lesser bikes for more $ in the Bay Area especially

Agreed absolutely! I was wondering about if he got gaffled on the refurb cost from the bike shop.

1993 Bridgestone XO-1

This unicorn sat quiet for 27 years in a mom-n-pop bike shop. The shop owner had tucked it away, but sadly passed. I was able to buy it from his son... very nice family.
I have plans to put many miles on her. I am currently building up rare 26" deep-dish Campagnolo mountain bike rims around DA 9-speed hubs, but for now it stands unridden, I have yet to thread a pedal on it.
For now I ride my other 93 XO-1 for which will soon be up for sale.

For sure. I think it would have been better to offer it for $500 as-is, rather than pay a shop $850 and then offer it for $1100.

I was trying to figure out the receipt. Looks like $300 for maybe a full overhaul, but I couldn't figure out the rest of it.

i think that both things are true. He did spend a lot of cash at the bike shop (more then half of it on parts), but shop time isn’t cheap.
I agree that most of us would have preferred to do the work ourselves and save a little coin on this one. For the purposes of our group, it probably would have been better not to see that shop tag as part of his ad!

4 brake pads for $79.96???
Hoods for$119.99???

It's a little petty to carp about a stranger's misfortune, but it's also a little galling to see a total stranger get taken to the cleaners getting charged MSRP on molded rubber goods.
Jeeesh!

Yeah, I couldn't figure that part out. I don't know if that's accurate. The curious might want to ask the owner.

If this Prologue were in my town, I'd probably check it out. I need a frame like this. I'd sell the rest of it.

Miyata Triplecross

Here is the link. I almost went to see it today but emailing the owner I decided it was a 56cm and I need a 58 or 60. I wanted to convert to a drop bar gravel bike. Bike looks in good shape. Decent price and a bit negotiable. Standover is just under 32. Owner was very helpful and returned emails quickly. The bike is near Frederick Md.
