Jim- I'm using DA 7900 DT's, so indexed on the back and friction for the front. Exactly what I needed, as it gives me much more control over the FD shifting and trims. Toyed with the idea of bar-ends but my simian-like arms have no problem reaching the DT's.

Surprisingly, replacing the STI's with Tektro R200's have actually made the bike feel more stable on 35+MPH descents. I have no idea why.

I've always been envious of local riders who have the time to drive out to Skyline for the day, but now that I'm retired...

But it's not the kind of route I would do regularly... kinda like a lot of tourist destinations: you're really glad you saw them, but you don't feel the need to see them again. That said, there were some pretty damn cool views, many of which I never saw when I lived here, so it was all good. Passing by the massive Naval shipyards--like small industrial cities themselves--was neat, but access is tightly controlled and you can't get close to them:

From the ferry to Coronado. Coronado-SD bridge, in the background, does not allow bike traffic:

Wow, that's quite creation, @slipknot03 !!

Very cool details, that front wheel spoking is wild. I've seen some here during the Tour de Fat in Tempe, AZ, but not to this level.

Welcome!

Yeah, wheel is perfect, runs really good, and it can be trued perfectly if you know how.
I tuned it only once in the last 1000km. I'll do it these days again, since I'm going for a longer ride

And it's on the wrong side, I put it there for fun - and confusing people
So far so good

It really expresses the level of attitude that this season's collection is meant to embody. I think what we're seeing here is clearly a strong partnership between designer and model, where Jim is really not just wearing the cap but expressing the cap, and through it, the designer.

That's my "all business" pose. Just got back from a week camping trip. Much fun was had. Even did some mountain biking on the bike above after taking off the luggage. Good times!

Thsnks highgear. Yes, I hope you can have the blessing of sharing a common passion as you kids reach adulthood. I was riding his Mercian Olympic. Nice bike. His collection includes a Pinarello Banesto tribute and a Fat Chance Yo Eddy. The Schwinn is his wifes bike.

Great picture of you on the Thunder Ridge ride from the site's photog. Sorry, but I didn't pay the $10 to get a copy....

A pic of yours truly after a recent mishap. Sorry for not smiling.

^OUCH! Hope you are OK, sorry to read about the mishap. Beautiful Daccordi, I hope it wasn't involved in the mishap, and if so, may it be undamaged.
