Decreased commute distance, increased riding
Just moved from Littleton to Denver this past weekend. Now, instead of riding 2 miles each way to the light rail, I can ride the 3 miles each way to campus. Not only do I get an extra 2 miles just from going back and forth, but I am more likely to do it multiple times a day now, since it only takes me 15 minutes to commute (instead of the 45 before)!
So much nicer being close. Though the experiences are vastly different. Going from a smooth suburban road, with moderate traffic, to a bumpy city street with a lot of traffic (albeit slower).
