New rider, Gary Fisher bike thoughts?
Found this locally for $150, thoughts? Mainly looking to ride paved trails and roads. I’m 5’11 and the frame size is 20” with a wheel/tire size of 700/35cc. Not sure what they go for or if this would be a good option. Let me know. Thanks!

The price is high for pre pandemic, but during the pandemic, all bets are off.
It's a lower end bike with a cheap front suspension fork. I'd suggest looking for a rigid fork at your price that can fit wider tires, perhaps with 26in wheels.

My newby advice is to buy whatever bike you can ride and is fairly cheap just to get you started. That's what I did. I started cycling at age 50 to try to get in shape. My first bike was way too small for me but I had no idea until I had a few 100 miles on it and enough experience to start knowing how it should feel. I paid $50 for that bike and had more fun on it than $50 has ever bought before. That bike will not likely be your last or only bike. If you can get $150 worth of exercise ,and experience and enjoyment out of it will be well worth $150. What I wouldn't do a bike newby is to go and drop big $$$ on a super duper bike. Having just started you don't even know what style bike best suits you. That will take some time in the saddle on different style bikes. Just get a bike and ride it until you advance enough as a cyclist to know exactly how a different bike would be better suited for either your riding style or riding terrain, or both.
PS
A GF is a quality bike. You will be fine on a cheap used bike but avoid those Walmart brands. I would stick with well respected names. In other words, just don't buy a Huffy.

Schwinn Impact - $60 = https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/b...140842157.html
- Not a high end bike, but will get you out riding.
Trek 820 = $160 = https://annarbor.craigslist.org/bik/...137541501.html
- I don't like the stem
This is a guy you want to contact asap = https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/b...121717291.html
- I really like blue Trek 950 (2nd photo) and it's your size.
Trek 830 - $200 = https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/b...136289745.html
- This is likely 1 size too small, but you could ride it until you are ready to upgrade.
Omega MT1800 - $40 = https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/b...140526388.html
- Unfamiliar with this brand, but it looks your size and will get your riding.
Personally I'd contact the Schwinn seller and blue Trek 950. The 950 is a fantastic bike, if he hasn't sold it. The Schwinn is a good bike as it was made before the brand was sold.
