Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

As for riding, I haven’t ridden my ICE VTX (trike) much since we got back from Florida in favor of my two wheelers but I think I’ll start riding it more just so I don’t have to worry about potholes and falling.

Well, unfortunately we can't continue this discussion further without getting totally political, so . . . . . what will be will be.

Louisiana starts our mandatory SAH at 5pm today. Evidently New Orleans has the 3rd highest infection rate per capita in the country. One of the theories is Mardi Gras provided a greater opportunity for transmission.

By the way, Germany is arresting non-compliant renegades too, so it's not just communist thinking. Just saying.

I only put on cereal (+recipes) and these days it's fake milk.

Wow that's a lot of posts to scan. I had a very busy morning with 10 telemedicine visits.

I don't do FB, the only sites I use that even resemble social media are this place and Strava.

We have a virtual MNR (Monday Night Ride) meetup on Zwift tonight. The guy running it is a randonneur and was going to do P-B-P last summer until a head-on crash with an oncoming car took him out of commission for awhile.

I am. And I'm in a fairly specialized field, so I've got some job security at least. My brother works in oil and gas and got furloughed last week, not sure what he's going to do now.

Right, it's only for coffee and oats. I haven't even seen anyone drink a glass of milk in decades.

Based on that last line, do you think the police will actually do something about drivers that buzz cyclists? 6 foot rule and all.

Gas hit the lowest price since 2001 today. Not great for him.
