It 's a Citizen Tokyo, not sure how much it weighs, but I ditched/replaced some OEM items, cut the handlebar, put on my own stem to get a better fit for myself. For the cost, $125 used, It takes up minimal space on subway trains or while stored when not ridden.

We had so much rain so far, and no cold weather or snow, that my basement has flooded. I've had to resort to storing almost all my folding bikes in our 3rd bedroom. Thank goodness we were planning on using it as an exercise room, and were in the process of discarding our old queen size bed set. I'm so upset,...luckily my wife is an understanding woman. If we had a garage it wouldn't be so stressful.

I feel your pain. If you live on the east coast and your basement has ever flooded, it flooded this year. Been dealing with it since we moved in, in 1983, but this year was BAD. I can talk sump pumps, hand pumps, french drains, wet patch cement, power inverters, generators, AGM batteries. This year was a monsoon. One night in the midst of a torrential thunderstorm downpour we lost power for hours. I felt like I was in the engine room of the Titanic. Water was cascading down my basement steps from the back yard. I was hand pumping a manual bilge pump to fill plastic trash cans and giant tubs to keep the sump pump basin from overflowing

A week later I dug 70 foot of trench, put in 4inch PVC and paid a concrete guy to cut a 9 foot swath through the patio. A week later it rained for like 8 hours, success.

Yeah, Mastic Beach is Long Island, so it was a nightmare. We're having all this done later in the year, French drain, waterproofing and all. I guess it's just something we need to deal with, considering where we live. You did a great job.

If you alternate hanging the bikes' front & rear wheel, you can easily hang more bikes within the same space.

Hello all,


I own since my childhood a Raleigh Stowaway in purple color (bought in 1984, brand new).
This bike is currently dismantled, and under restoration.I aim to restore the bike to its original condition.
I have devoted many hours to remove rust in all of its parts, and the results were very satisfying.
The next steps are:
1. Got to a specialist and dismantle completely the fork (it is stuck) and also remove the pedals and the main disc.
2. Have the chassis repainted to the original purple or to a tone of purple as close to the original as possible if possible.
3. Replace the old saddle with a brooks 72 saddle
4. install new tires, new front light replace wires of breaks and gear changer , new stand etc.
5. Place original decals

The only deviation from its original condition will be the saddle, but that does not bother me much, as the new one will be a Brooks one, and a better model with springs,like the one in my mother's bike ( a 1950 Raleigh sport tourist )

I'd received a used Tyrell FSX last Friday. Done about 160km on it so far, and it's tying or killing most of my regular strava segments. Sent it back to the shop yesterday to get a new R8000 RD and STI shifter. Can't wait to play more with it.

I have a 2017 Brompton M3L in lagoon blue, which I bought in November.

I recently got a 12-month promotion (maternity cover) and worked out that the pay bump was equivalent to paying off a Brompton in 12 x monthly instalments. So when I go back to my old job, I won't miss the money too much but I'll still have the Brompton.

Yup, they're 20" wheels, singlespeed (44/14), MKS folding pedals. I lucked out with the saddle & grips, they were bought from two different places with the hope they'd be close enough in colour... but they ended up being an exact match!

i just scored a retro Dawes, that's rolling on 18" wheels that is a single speed. It's SO relaxing to ride!

Added new seat (Peugeot), "rat-traps", and stem-bar clamp quick-release. Seen many other identical frames branded with a variety of names. Photos in "Show your I-Talians" thread. I don't know how to transfer them to this thread; nor do I care.
