Design Exercise for a big guy or gal

So I’m building up this Trek Multitrack hybrid to road conversion. I’m going with design cues of what looks cool not so much what will fit me. I’m 5’11-1/2”. This is looking beastly for someone who is like 6’4”.

The 3T “Mutant” 13cm stem with Nitto quill adapter and Cinelli “TOP 64” bars and Dura Ace 7800/7803 triple road shifters are creating an imposing ride so far.

Kind of a winter project in the works.

OK, I gotta ask. Why are you building a bike that doesn't fit you? Can't you find components that look cool and fit? Looking at that head tube, I'd guess this to be about a 19" frame, way small for someone 6'4". I am about your height and had a 19" 700 that fit fair with a fairly long stem and a setback seatpost quite a ways out of the tube. I traded up to a 21" 730 frameset and it fits great with the appropriate components.

The frame is a hybrid designed to work with a flat bar. I will double check the top tube length. I put the 13cm 3T stem on just to visually check the look with my polished seatpost. I’ve got other road bikes to ride and have been building this bike up pretty slowly. I like the look right now but realize that the stem pictured will not work for me. I’m going to need an upward rise quil stem about 9 or 10cm long. Due to the short head tube length I was going to track down some shallow drop gravel bars.

Here is another stem mounted with an upward rise but still 13cm length:

Should all that heavy metal in the stem be matched by some beefier wheels and tires?

The wheels I had built by my favorite LBS wheelbuilder - WTB Momentum “Grease Guard” cassette hubs built up with DT Swiss butted stainless spokes onto Hed Belgium + Rims. The tires are Challenge Paris Roubaix 120tpi (not the 260tpi) size 700x28 with Vittoria latex inner tubes.

I’m looking forward to riding this thing!!

I need to finish setting up the SunTour XC Pro cantilevers - something I have never done.
