Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra 54cm
Looking for input on valuation for a Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra 54cm (1986).
Mix of Dura Ace and shimano 600
Cheap wheelset
Frame has several paint chips but otherwise is in good shape
Value of just frame vs value of complete bike as is... thanks

Merckx Corsa Extra is one of the bikes that seems to still command a premium but I don’t think that one would. Generic red paint with some scrapes (as opposed to some of the team color ways) so I would say $650 complete bike $400 frame/fork. A quality wheelset would bump price up another 50 or 100.

The parts aren't adding very much (any?) value, and they're doing no favors for the look of the bike. Original chainrings and a better stem/bars would be a massive improvement.
