Crane Creek Headset Questions
Mine got crunchy so pulled it apart & cleaned. Headset is a IS 52/40 10 series with a lower 40 series bearing in poor shape. New grease works wonders though a new bearing is in my future.
I wonder if a higher series Crown Race might keep more contaminates out of my next bearing? Should I replace that too?
And does a bearing upgrade make sense or just stick with a 40 series?

Ordered a 40 series headset.
On sale. Might as well replace from crown race on up.
