Hard to see that patent number on rear derailleur, buffed too buch? I am no expert but you would probably pay that if bought piece by piece. I bought the two derailleurs and shifters for $175 CND and thought I got a good deal.

For that price I would expect a pretty-near-perfect and complete group with good or new correct brake hoods, brake pads, etc.
Ask for better pics of the condition of the BB and headset, as these are high-wear parts.
Is it a respected seller?

Thanks for your comment. I don't know if he is respected (I am a novice in C&V) but he looks pretty active. He advertised himself as a professional bike restorer.

I saw these for sale as well. If your location is correct you are in the same area. Go see for yourself and if he will take the price in CAD, after all he will not have to ship.

If the hubs were included, skewers too, then I would pay up to $400.00 CND but only after a close look and inspection of moving part relationships.

At that price in my area you are talking donor bike: a complete bike of a lesser known marque with those parts.

id definitely want to see common wear areas to avoid disappointment.

Thanks @wrk101 @randyjawa @daviddavieboy for your good advices (as always on this forum!). Got the message . I obviously have to see the parts but I understand that even in good shape, the price should go down or I should go away...

I sold a nice Campy rear derailleur for $300 about two years ago. The stuff looks like jewelry. It would look good on almost any frame.

Some of the rare parts go quite high ie. original record parts or NOS. The new looking used parts are still reasonable IMO. I just paid $50 for a 73-77 front derailleur in OK condition. I am still trying to come to terms about forking out $100CDN for used pedals. The MKS ones I have look good enough for now at least.

ALWAYS try to get a better deal. I would buy them just for the fact that I would not have to hunt down elusive parts. I would give you $30 just for that bottle cage and $200 for the brake levers and calipers and I'll come and pick them up

It's a mixed group... post-CPSC brakes, cranks, hubs and shifters, pre-CPSC front and rear derailleur and early seat post. In addition, both chain rings are pretty worn and the seat post has a lot of gouges.

Agreed, as separate items, the numbers would be higher...but as a group with all of the wear, I would try to find a bike with campy as a parts source and go that route.

NR rear derailleurs seem to be going for between $35-60 with a few outliers. NOS innabox outlier was $170. I have a really nice from the early '80s, but it doesn't seem worth selling it at that kind of price.

Only thing I have that is worth selling is seat bolts

Best bang on the buck, but I never sell something I can't buy cheaper

Campy seat post bolts are nearing 'unobtainium' status.
