New wheel set H Plus Son laced to origin8. So happy with these. They're wider than the wheels I had before (stock Aventon rear/wienman dp18 front). Such a big difference in ride feel. I can't wait to get new cranks next month (hopefully)

congrats! H+son are totally the bees knees and for an economic hub I’ve always loved the origin 8 / formula hubs. One day I hope to land a killer deal on some suzue pro max hubs or early gen phil’s, to compare, but that has yet to happen. What cranks are you running?

I'm looking for some fender suggestions. The Bob Jackson I recently purchased has fender mounts, but the fenders that came mounted on it (likely Honjo) are not exactly easy to take off. Should I get a rear flat, they'd be a total pain to remove. Are there any full coverage fenders that use a "quick-release" for easy removal?

SKS Raceblade Longs have the feature I'm looking for, however, they mount at the axle, not using the fender mounts. And what's the point of having fender mounts if you're not going to use them?

I got one of these Blueteeth Speed and Cadence sensors so I can actually use my trainer with apps and stuff and change resistance levels (even though it is futile) and a climbing block. I am hoping it might also pair up with my Magellan computer or the Garmin I want but probably won't buy.

I've only looked at those fenders, but it seems like you could easily attach them to your existing dropout eyelets instead of the axles.

Thanks, though through my idiocy I got the rear wheel sensor being all excited and realized it is a direct drive trainer so it doesn't matter? While there is a crank magnet I am still trying to get it working. I should have just gone with a rear wheel trainer and gotten a dang tire.

Right now I'm running stock Aventon cranks.

New stem for Schwinn gravel build. I’ll probably strip the anodize and polish it. Funky thing will go nicely with the funky vintage thudbuster seatpost im getting!

killer!!!!! That’s a badass find! I wonder if wound up sells replacement decals? You could probly have a vinyl company die cut some if not... or just run it as is too cuz it’s still sweet!

This bike shop called Bike Nerds down in Miami is unfortunately going out of business. It's owned by two cool dudes and I think their shop(s); they used to have one more shop that closed in November, have been open for about 6 years. Their main focus was the track and fixed gear/singlespeed community. That's where I got this from. Today was my first day there although I've been wanting to go visit their shop for about a year now. Support your local bike shop whenever you're able to. Especially if their locally owned. Anyways, stoked on this Dura-Ace NJS stamped 16t cog and thanks to Diego at Bike Nerds. I hope whatever you do after the end of the month gives you peace.

Its unfortunate. The LBS is a niche thing... often times a shop focuses on one demographic and ends up failing. It sucks, I love going to certain shops because of their speciality... but if you’re going to make it in this world of cycling it seems you have to diversify into uncomfortable territories.

That's true. They had other bikes in stock other than single speed bikes too. Like, cruisers and a few steel road bike and of course they were more than able to fix most bikes. It's the online options that kill local bike shops. Bike America went bankrupt. They were a big chain. Amazon is a blessing and a curse.
