Bikes: This list got too long: several ‘bents, an urban utility e-bike, and a dahon D7 that my daughter has absconded with.

Broken axle on N380 Hub
I have an N380 hub that has a couple of broken spokes, so I haven't been riding it lately. Today I started looking into it, in order to repair it, and I discovered the axle is broken.
It appears that it screws into the hub and broke off. In this picture, I am showing both the broken bit and the intact axle half from the other side for comparison.
Here is a picture of the hub with the broken off bit inside of it:
any thoughts for how to remove the broken part of the axle?

get a different hub or avoid any sudden impacts if you fix that thing.... that is a really bad design for any axle.
What is the diameter of the center portion compared to the dropout portions?
yeppers... a bad design... built to break or bend easily... add hardening, and the break becomes the more common failure...
