First half century today (and kinda mad)
So I woke up early for a nice 50 mile ride, weather was nice (65 at the start). The ride was mostly flat with only 1800 feet of total climb. I had my Garmin 305 with me tracking it all. Took 3 hammer gels with me but only used 2. I felt good for the whole ride pretty much.
I was at 47.31 miles and stopped at a light and the garmin autopause stopped the timer. Light turned green and off I went. About a mile and a half later looked down and the distance was still 47.31 and the time had not changed. I tried a few things then realized the autopause never unpaused. So I lost about 1.5 miles worth of data So I woke up early for a nice 50 mile ride, weather was nice (65 at the start). The ride was mostly flat with only 1800 feet of total climb. Got home and had to do an extra lap around the neighborhood to get the garmin to record 50 miles. Made it in under 3 hours with a average speed of 17mph (much faster that I hoped for, I though 16 would be good)
So I learned I need to pay more attention to the auto pause of the garmin, but all else was great. Legs are a little sore, but that was expected. Now I have to get ready for a full century.

So, just to review, you're angry because you had to ride around after completing what you knew to be a 50-mile ride just so you could appease a small battery-powered device that sits on your handlebar?
I'd be angry too--at myself for letting my computer spoil the end of my ride.
