Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't know if anything in that box rattles, but I have the survival wedge pack and everything fits pretty snug...

as for the thing about wheter it has a 5/64 hex... a 2 second google search will give you the answers you seek... if you find it difficult, here's a shorcut (you click on the previous link, and it'll take you there). If that's too much, it doesn't have a '5/64' in allen wrench

Out of curiosity, what type of bike do you have that doesn't use metric bolts?

How did you measure this thing to be a 5/64" hex bolt? A little conversion shows that to be almost exactly 2mm, which the Topeak SGB does have. I've never heard of a decent-quality bike (which a Giant OCR certainly is) having non-metric sized bolts. There's a reason all the various multi-tool kits out there use metric-sized wrenches.

I had one. There was a lot of stuff in there but the allen wrenches were 50% useless, because they were double sided. If you needed to torque something with the short side, you are screwed.

Get a multi-tool instead. You'll be happier.

And no...nothing rattled around....when I first got it. After it was used for the first time, it was nearly impossible to get everything back into the box due to the way it was stuffed in there. I ended up getting rid of the patch kit (it was junk) and taking the chain tool out.

I bought one back about a dozen years ago (surprising it's still being sold) and haven't really used it all that much. As suggested, you'll be much happier with a mini multi-tool.

My Topeak Hexus 16 has all that I need (including what you wanted). It's smaller and lighter than the gear box.
