I'm not sure why it's marked paramount. This is a stronglight A 9 and it is one of the best vintage headsets every made. Free bump for the OP as well.

Sometimes the good old A-9 got "customized" to the extent that they pad-printed something on the top nut ("Bernard Hinault" for example), could be this one was intended for a Schwinn Paramount (maybe a "Match" made model). In any case aside from the black finish this appears to be a basic A-9, which is a very good thing!

Schwinn had them branded for their Paramount bikes in the 80s, just as the Spidel marketing consortium had them branded. Otherwise, it is an A9 headset.

Hate to assume anything, but does the Paramount labeling mean it’s ISO or did they ever make forks/head tubes with JIS specs? The 0.2mm in the head tube does make a difference... ask me how I know...
