Rails to Trails
Anyone know how much financial aid Rails to Trails will give to finish a deserving Trail? We have a trail here in Eastern Washington that has a 2 1/2 mile middle section that isn't finished because the Railroad BNSF insists that a bridge be built over their active railway tracks that will cost 3 million to complete. A few riders traverse the 2 1/2 mile section and just stop and look both ways to cross the active tracks, but that is trespassing and a serious offense most likely.
Total length of the trail will be 15 miles with a junction to another trail that is 3 miles long.
