How much can you stuff underneath your brooks saddle?
I was considering a little waterproof bag and keeping the basics in it; tube, tool, tire lever, c02, what else? I've found that there's ample room to stuff a little pack up under a Brooks B17 without it really showing, and still leaves room for a "normal" seat bag.
What would you carry?

How are you considering anchoring it securely? Just curious since I ride a Brooks Swift that has a little room to spare.

Probably as much as I can stuff in the seat bag under my Trek System1 saddle. If you cant find the space you need just get one of those tow-behind kiddie trailers.

I am with Iab on this, though I do not wrap my tubulars in old newsprint like a piece of gefilite fish.
correct me if I am wrong but if you stuff a bunch of stuff up under the seat. like on top the rails, doesn't that detract from the comfort of the ride?

I carry 2 spare tubes, a patch kit and levers in my small seat bag. I've always used a small handlebar bag too. It has wallet, glasses, keys, phone, multitool with a chain breaker (yes, I broke a chain) cotton balls to stick in my ears when its cold and a couple energy bars just in case.
Back in the day, we'd always keep a nylon windbreaker lashed with our spare sewup, as a ride could take us inland to 90 degrees then back to the coast where it was wet and 40.
