Converting to base bar to drop?

Might sound silly ,BUT , there are a lot of affordable TT base bars full carbon super light bars , so I got one and built a bike around it , only thing I don't like is the grip makes my hand tire out , also not much grip . I know they make bar end drops for flat bars , but I have never seen ones for say bull horn bars , or tt base bars . Is there a way to get them ? Or do I need to have to run a double stem with a slender mount point ? I really don't want to put 400 dollar aero road bars on a city commuter . I'd like to think I could make this hack work and start a new trend .let me know your VALID opinions in the comments section down below , don't forget to click the bell icon and subscribe to the channel!!!! G'day !!!!

You use on your TT bike for a hand position for starting/sprinting, hard cornering, and to hang your brake levers. Pretty much what the drops on a drop bar.

If you need drops under your base bars, you’v got them way too high.

There’s a reason that nobody makes the part you’re looking for; anyone who is using a base bar for anything other than the look would have no performance use for it, and if you’re doing it solely for the look, then you don’t care how well it works

Several of those headed out on the start of the 2019 Trans America bike race @ 6am this morning ..

Oregon Coast to the Virginia coast in less than a fortnight ..

Aero bars on Drop bars was a popular choice + bikepacking bags ...

No outside support ..

face palm!!!!!!! ,
this aero base bar was super cheap and its high-ish quality ,
yes it looks super dope , but it is also super aero like an aero drop bar ,
BUT !!!!!!! an aero drop bar can be really expensive ,
so would it not be coooooooooLLLLLLLLL if you could hack it , and turn it into a drop bar **********??

right now i only have one hand position , and the way i have it set up hurts my hands , id like to start a NEWWWWWW TREEEEEEEND ,
a cool way to make an affordable aero drop bar ,
so i was wondering if anyone saw some bar end add-ons that would allow for a DROP GRIP .

YES it might not be traditional , or practical style of bars ,
but its what i want ,

AND NOOOOOO i dont have the bars set up wrong they work just fine ,

the ONLY issue is my grip and hand position , because on the right side i have a sram thumb shifter mounted behind the brake lever ,,

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO every time i hit a bump it bites my hand,

PLUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i cant get a really firm grip , AAAAAAAAANNNNDDDDDDDaaaaaaah , i like to sprint ,
and this bike is kinda fast ,
and geared right , and its fun , i made it so im coninuing my journey to make my custom bike work ,

AND LOOK cool , and be a cost effective performance machine ,

OOOOOOOOOH KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY , do you get it NOWWWWWW , i typed the important parts really big and added extra letters so maybe you will understand better !!!!!!!

Let's see, you started a thread about how you designed a bike around a set of handlebars that don't really suit the use you want to make of the bike, so you now want to modify the handlebars so they have the functionality of drop bars, but you don't want to install drop bars like everyone else who has this "problem" has.

Just another useless idiotic thread started by you. I believe that makes umpteen eleven of those.

Maybe if what you were trying to do wasn't so stupid, you might get some better answers.

how is building a custom bike stupid , its not the same old traditional bike , its different , and its valid , why spend 400 bucks on a aero drop bar when i can hack one for 60 to 80 bucks , get the same aero benefit , these base bars are more aero than most aero drop bars that cost way more , you just lack creativity , and if you don't have anything helpful to add skippadapost bruuuuuuu , id rather have ZERO replies than some trolls hating on my dreams ;P !!!!!

But you can't, Blanche, you can't. You're asking everyone else to figure it out for you.

Basically, you bought a drag racer because you thought it looked cool, and now you're frustrated because you can't modify it to haul two kids and groceries.

The solution is obvious. Get handlebars that actually suit your riding.
