What is the most rigid accessory mount for a drop bar bike?
I'd like to add an accessory mount to my drop bar handlebar. Ideally, the mount would be large and sturdy enough for both a sport camera and a smartphone. I have a iPhone 6 and a Garmin Virb camera. The mount needs to be rigid enough to keep the camera from oscillating due to flex between the camera and the handlebars.
Any suggestions?

Minoura Space grip. Although it would depend on how big (width) the cam and phone are, it would be rigid enough.

While both of the above are okay mounts, neither is as rigid as a Daijia mount from Velo Orange.

I use and like the Minoura Space Grip, though it takes a while to install, and it's not easy to readjust the position. Now that I have it right, it stays there with no trouble.

Are those longer ones, by chance-the right diameter to clamp ergo grips on?
So I could point the accessory mount towards me, giving me a normal flat bar position with ergo grips AND drop bars?
(I am obviously comfortable with being a fred)

SJS carries the excellent Thorn bars. The stem mount is simple, sturdy and easy on the eyes.

I've use a Minoura (like this one) now and have used something similar to the Pro Carbon. Both suffer from the same problem. They have to be really tight on the bars to keep from slipping. The clamp on the Minoura is useless as a quick release because it has to be tightened down so tight.
They also both use the same diameter tube for the accessories which is a 22mm tube, if I recall correctly. Most accessory mounts are made for 25.4 or 31.8mm handle bars. You have to use a lot of shims which makes the accessory more prone to slipping as well. I solved the problem with the Minoura by replacing the tube with a 1" thin walled aluminum tube but that does nothing for the slipping on the bars.
The Diajia mount uses a 31.8 mm tube which may be too large for some accessory mounts but not many. Since it attaches to the stem, it can't rotate and never slips. You can hang the bike from the mount if you want...it's that solid. The only drawback is that you need a 4 bolt faceplate on the stem.
The Thorn would also be a good choice but it is twice as much as the Diajia.

+1 to the Dashboard Genie! A coworker had the double wide and it was very secure. I have the single wide and am very happy with it. Read the reviews on Amazon before purchasing the other products. I read too many reviews that had complaints about breaking and when I saw the Dashboard Genie at work, I was very glad I had passed on the other products.
