700C in a 650 fork question
Hi... anybody knows if a 700C wheel (tubular) will fit fine in a 650c fork? Just wondering if the clearance could be like 3 mms or so... I did my calculation and might fit fine but actually the experts are here... thanks in advance..

shouldn't even be close.
there's, like a 7 cm difference in diameter.
unless it's a fork built for massive knobby tires.

The radius of a 700c wheel is 25 mm greater than that of a 650c wheel. You wouldn't expect to see too many 650c forks with 25 mm extra tire clearance because it kind of defeats the purpose of using the smaller wheel in the first place.

I doubt it'll work. My 650c bike has clearance for a 650x23 tire and no more, ever.
Now, if you've got your hands on a 650b fork, that's different. I doubt that's the case, though.
