Part out or sell complete?
I have a Softride that I loved, despite the tinny tires, until I got a 650B. I honestly don't think I will ride the soft ride again. Here is my quandary, do I part out the Softride or sell it whole? It has full dura ace components and 650a wheels. I was thinking of using the Dura Ace brake levers for another project. I know I would get more money if parted out, but I feel as though it would be difficult to sell the frame solo. Any ideas?

Not sure if there is much of a market for that bike. I've seen a few of them on the used market in past years, but personally they've never appealed to me DA or otherwise. If I owned that bike if probably take off the DA and use it for a different build. Hold on to the frame. Maybe one day it becomes a collector's item.

sell as whole. Or keep it & slap a "kit" engine on it to tool around on.

Maybe someone wants the frame?...there are wild desires in this world.
Personally, I would part it out and donate what I can't sell to a local bike collective and claim the donation for taxes.

Depending on the model and condition, you could probably get a few hundred bucks on Ebay for the frame. Keep the Dura Ace groupset, and use the cash from the Softride to get a different frame.

Complete bikes are always easier to sell. You have the potential to make more money parting it out, but also a big risk of ending up with an incomplete pile of half-sold parts nobody wants.
Softrides are niche bikes. 650c bikes are an even smaller niche. Your best bet, if you’re planning on keeping the DA group, would be to offer the frame and wheels together; the wheels are useless without the frame, and without the wheels, the frame would only be useful as spare beam parts for another SoftRide.

I had to google what that is...... You can put it up for sale complete for a price you like and see how it goes before parting out.

Are you sure it has 650a wheels and not 650c? You can get 650x28c Pasela tires for the 650c wheels if you are looking for more comfort.
But if you are going to part out I echo what the previous poster said- sell the frame and wheels together, because it’s hard for a buyer to find a set of 650c wheels on their own.
