Just brake levers and shifters I will sometimes add a small bag to carry a snack in. My Electra loft is clean except for grips single speed and coaster brakes

Brifters, phone mount, sometimes a headlight. Phone fills computer, navigation, route & speed track, and comms. Might need to get a spare/external battery, though.

My handlebars don't even steer. They make me do all the work ... whether steering or countersteering .... they don't even participate in the debate. I guess my bars are just lazy.

I was joking. Mine are getting busier. It started to get darker when I head out and I lose orientation when going through unlit tunnels, plus I have a phobia that a hobo could be stretched out there, so I added a small rechargeable flashlight. Other than that I a have a bell and a phone holder, but that's attached to stem.

On my two coaster brake cruisers I use for daytime commuting, nothing but a grip at each end.

Depends on the bike and journey. Road/gravel, blinky and Garmin in addition to what's there already. Long distance adventure bike, add handlebar bag.

Most of my bikes have an extra lights/accessories bar because I like to run two headlights (in case on dies) and also a phone/computer bag.

Two brake levers, one shifter, one headlight (SS doesn't have a shifter).

I did ride through a swarm of airborne bugs yesterday morning so one of my bikes has a lot of them splatted on the bars, do those count as an extra 100 items?

Beside the obvious (i.e. brifters and bar tapes), mine's not very busy. Just a bell and a phone/light mount.

Thanks! A narrow bar doesn't give you much choice. 😅

Not very busy. Two bikes have a headlight mount and a bell. One bike has the same plus a cyclometer. I’m taking the cyclometer off the next time I ride it, I don’t really pay any attention to it anymore anyways, so why have it?

I once passed a man with a big colorful REAL bird perched precariously on his handlebars. I had to take a second look to confirm it.

My bars have the perfect number of things on them, no more or less.

To add or remove any item would diminish them.

Usually just my bell and my odometer/computer, but that second item has been in the house these past few weeks because any time I hit a decent bump it re-sets itself to "0" and I have to re-program everything including wheel circumference. I've totally lost track of how many miles I've ridden this year.

It's September, so very soon now it'll be time to put my headlight back on the bike so I can ride after work.
