Welcome, I'm sure you will find lots of useful (and not so useful) information here. Just one thing: easy on the exclamation points, okay? I haven't had my second cup of coffee yet. Don't curb your enthusiasm, just know that one ! will do the trick.

What kind(s) of bikes do you ride?

Welcome!

I'm surprised to see Beaumont's now on the bikeforum map. I'm from there but I've been in Houston for several years now. I have a couple bikes from Bicycle Sports that are still going strong.

Where do you ride? I used to do 105 to sour lake, nome, etc. a couple times a week. Does 105 still have a good shoulder? Keep us posted on Beaumont rides - I don't get back there much, but I'd love to go home sometime for a charity ride or a race (yeah, I'm dreaming, who's gonna get a race going over there...).

Welcome. I'm interested as well to know where you do most of your riding. This 'ol world is gettin' smaller all the time. My wife grew up in Nederland.

Thank you and sorry about the punctuation excitement. I have a 2004 Specialized Allez Sport and a Cannondale F600. The Allez is my first road bike and I have to say... I'm hooked on road riding.

Actually we do ride every Saturday that is a 63.5 loop that goes from Beaumont to Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze and through Sour Lake back to Beaumont on HWY 105. And yes 105 still has a very good shoulder as well as most of the ride. Its a very good conditioning ride.

Toddsot - you will have to give us more details of your bike (or photo). Ask your question on the Mechanics forum. From your description I can say with confidence that it is over 20 yrs old. Welcome
