Hello from New York, by way of Puerto Rico!
Hello! I joined bike forums in November but have yet to introduce myself!
I'm originally from Puerto Rico, and moved to NYC in 2012. I started out (as an adult) using an SE Draft bicycle (a baby blue color!) which I sadly crashed during my last weeks in the island. I went to my college graduation on that bike as I don't know how to drive (and don't know yet as a man in my 30s). Later on, I went through three State Bicycles - all of which have been damaged by an attempted steal or outright stolen. I'm now in the market for a new bike (reason why I'm here).
I'm getting a bit old knees for the fixed gear, so looking to learn more about maintenance and appraising the value of classic vintage bikes, which is the type I'm looking to get for the city.

Welcome! I visited PR for the first time last spring and spent my entire day walking around Old San Juan wishing I had brought my bike.

PR is amazing for riding. Granted - the heat might get to you every once in a while, but it’s perfect weather wise because you can ride and hop on over to the beach after!
