Help ID suspension fork for kids bike

Got this on Kijiji for a good deal.

The bike is good, but the front forks are shot. I'm trying to source a replacement but not sure what it is. I'm guessing 1" threaded headset? Can anyone verify if this will work

Here is some photos of it...

No...as the bike is rideable now and I didn't want to take it out of service :-)

Also because 1" and 1-1/8" is so close I', not sure I'll be able to tell the difference. I suppose I'll get some digital calipers to measure.

And I'm assuming old school so threaded right? I've never had to swap a fork before...

a stem in a 1" threaded fork is 7/8" .. its 1" in a 9/8 " fork.
don't have to take it apart to measure that.

I doubt the forks were "any thing to write home about", New.

there should be a bolt head, in the bottom of each leg to take the fork, itself, apart..

good luck..

Ok! That's perfect. I'll measure this way. Then I don't have to take it apart.

I agree. They are a POS. I think this was a Walmart special once upon a time...but the kids just think its cool cause it looks like a dirt bike. Can you blame 'em lol.

Would there be much point taking it apart? I doubt anything in there is serviceable? They have a ton of play when you press the brakes...I think its just worn from being abused and crappy to start with.

Your time, your choice ..

if it feels stiff leave it in its 'might as well be a rigid fork' mode.
