Made a few changes to the Soma. My rump just could not get along with the Turbo saddle after 15 miles. Shame, 'cause they look really, really good. Scored an original Flite and so far it's a keeper. Wanted the brake levers to be all black - swapped to the TRPs. New chainring; the IRD cranks come only with 46t and I prefer 48t. It's an Andel chainring that I found online in the UK. Matches perfectly! Was sporting Exustar dual platform pedals before but began to have problems clipping out. Tried adjusting with no luck. Shimano MTB SPDs are solid and consistent. Great purchase. The final swap was a new compact drop bar and tape. While the Soma HWY 1s are great and affordable, the Nitto M106 NAS is more comfortable, has a nicer feel to the hands and in my opinion, a more attractive transition in the drops. Really dig 'em! I figured since I was swapping out a bunch of stuff I went ahead and completely disassembled the bike, polished the frame and reassembled again.

I've been using that saddle for two years now and I dig it, but every butt is different. I had a Selle San Marco Regal before that and it didn't agree with me.

That bike is not sexy. Not even a little bit. I don't care if the all black cockpit matches the all black tires, the brakes, the saddle, the pedals and and the Soma logo. I dont care that your black track nuts match. I don't care that the seat post, stem and crank create a perfectly balanced silver accent triangle. It's just an ugly bike. Stupid chain too.

I wish those TRP levers were shaped like SRAM's at the clamp for a flat transition to the bars. They look so nice.
