Rum, what can you tell me about spring fishing in this area? Are the fish active under the ice under winter? Do they "bite" more this time of year?

sorry, haven't done any fishing in a few years. but I remember ppl being excited when the ice was gone cuz they could start back up again. on one of my rides the past cpl weeks I did see some fish while riding. trying to remember where that was
