Heys everyone,
Same old story, I haven't climbed on a bike in the last 21 years. The day I got my first street motorcycle was the day my MTB went to live in the shed.
Now that I'm getting older, ive got the pot belly starting; so it's time to get in shape! Ive decided to pick up riding a bike again, hopefully this will be a form of exercise that I can stick with.
I scored a retro '90-'93 Diamond Back Outlook. It's your basic early 90s rigid. Heavy 4130 tubing, thumb shifter, cantilever brakes. Wanted to make it look like my childhood bike, so I went and set it up for a single front gear ring. So this 18 speed is now a 6.
Don't laugh, its bone simple and will take a beating. Best of all it was only 25 bucks.
So, are hiking boots, cuffed jeans and flannel shirts still mandatory MTB equipment? I think I've still got my Rob Zombie CD's somewhere...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone 😊
I've been having fun and am certainly getting the exercise I'm wanting.
