Bianchi ~2004
Hello Bikers!
I've been in the market for a new road bike recently, and decided I'd try buying a secondhand one and tuning it up myself.
I figure I'd try going with one of the more popular brands (Bianchi, Peugeot, Panasonic, etc...), and landed my eyes on 2 bikes thus far.
Bianchi ~2004:
Does anyone know the model of this Bianchi? The seller says it's a 2004, but I didn't see anything similar to it out of all the 2004 Bianchi bikes that came out that year.
The listing included these descriptions but I don't know if they have any relevance: "Made in Italy, Bianchi Alloy 7000 mega-pro concept. 2004 speed bike in great shape. 20'' aluminum frame/ 51cm."
Seller is asking for 420$, but said to give him another offer. An offer that I don't have much knowledge to back, and would really appreciate any help I can get here!

The seller probably just bought it in 2004. as it appears to be s a 2002 Bianchi BCM5, which was a Canadian market model with an MSRP of $1229 CDN. Specs indicate a drivetrain consisting of Campagnolo Xenon 9 speed derailleurs paired with a Sugino XD crankset, which is a perfect match. Spec brakes were Bianchi branded CMP-1, which I'm not familiar with but also appears to be a match. Wheels were Formula hubs laced to Rigida rims. The frame material is simply listed as Aluminum, while the fork is CrMo, so the fork does appear to be OEM. There was a similar model in 2003 listed as BCJ7, with the only spec difference being Miche hubs laced to Fir rims and a slight price increase to $1319 CDN. There were no Xenon equipped models listed in 2004. Since 2002 was the intro year for 9 speed Xenon, we know it's no older that.
