OneUp Dropper post cable being pulled inside bike

I am not sure how to describe this, but I'll do my best.

I have a OneUp dropper post on my mountain bike. The cable that goes in to the switch on the handle bars keeps getting pulled in to the switch. The result is that the cable eventually comes out of the switch and the seat stops working.

I had an end on the cable, but through pushing the switch, over time the end has come off and the cable nub is now right at the end of the switch. After some more pushes, I know the cable will come all the way through the switch - again.

Is this an issue with dropper posts? The OneUp dropper post? And how can I stop it/fix it? Thank you.

The cable connects to the remote with a pinch bolt. Maybe try tightening the pinch bolt to keep the cable from slipping through it.

I thought I had the pinch bolt tighten as much as possible. I'll give the pinch bolt another look. Thanks.
