Litespeed Classic Ti- Road Bike
Hi folks. I'm new here. Hope yo u can help out with my potential purchase of a used Litespeed Classic Titanium road bike.
Do you think the seller's price is reasonable? First time buying second hand bike here. Is there anything else I should know? Many thanks.
US$1300
Litespeed Classic Ti- Road Bike Size of frame TT:54 ST:53 Traditional Geometry Fit riders around 175cm to 180cm
Comes with mix components
Dura-Ace 7900 shifter
Dura-Ace 7900 Crankset
Ultegra 6700 RD
FD should be Ultegra Cassette 10s
Brakes set should be Shimano
Wheelset Ultergra 10s Stem
Dropbar are Nitto Pearl
Components are in working condition but the maybe minor rust due to long time in storage.
Bike has not been used for a long time. May need a full service to clean up and bartape, tires and tubes need to be change.
Frame condition is 8/10 I am helping a friend to post.
Just dun come lowball...frame alone is selling at USD1299 on eBay for a used one. So do the maths if its worth to buy before App or SMS me.

Way too high, even for a Litespeed that had all matching components and in perfect ready-to-ride condition. Ignore posted eBay prices, they are worthless; instead checkout sold prices to see what people are actually paying.

Looks like the same frame set that I have. 1999 Litespeed Classic with polished finish. Not the original fork

I would say the price is two high also in the current market 90's Ti bikes are way down value wise from the high prices a few years back when better stuff was selling in the $1500 range. For a bike in need of some TLC with mixed components I would put the value at $500-700 about half the sellers asking price. A NOS 2015 T5 Litespeed Ti is going for $900 if you do a quick search so a used one should go for $600-700 in good condition for comparison.

Love the "selling on Ebay for $1299". Ebay asking prices are NOT selling prices. Selling prices come from actual SALES on Ebay (sold items). I always use the example, if I ask $20 for a $10 bill, does that make a $10 bill worth $20? If so, I am heading to the bank in the morning.
Further, if someone selling locally wants Ebay prices, I look elsewhere. If you want an Ebay price, then you have to sell on Ebay, pay all the fees, pack and ship at a low price, etc.
IF you want to pursue this bike any further (I would not), ask seller to provide links of Ebay sales (SOLD) that support their statement.
