1991 Trek 2500 Pro Composite
I have this 1991 Trek 2500 Pro with full Dura Ace components. Wondering what it may be worth.

I just sold a 2500 without Dura Ace and it took 9 Months on my local CL to get $320. Depends on where you are selling it.
I am not sure where my buyer was coming from. Maybe Philly, maybe DC.

All that scratching of the clear coat that goes all the way around the tube at the head lug/top tube junction doesn't mean that the adhesive holding that joint together is losing its hold does it?

That frame "rash" is the clear coat peeling if memory serves. Doesn't affect the function of the joint, but looks unsightly.
I think you'll get more parting it out. $250-300 on the 7400 bits and then whatever you can get for everything else.

The value is in the DA7400 STI group. On a nice mainstream steel bike, like my Schwinn Circuit with DA7400 for instance, I think you’re probably looking at $400-$500 (far less than my investment BTW). These bonded lug frames are a detractor for many but there are plenty of others who don’t seem to mind.

The frame only exactly like the one I had, even the same size sold on Ebay a couple months ago for $250.
I sold the 2500 for only $20 less than a beautiful 660 I had. And it took a long time to sell the 660.
It's market dependent.
If I was in the immediate DC market instead of 50 miles north I would have sold the bike in less than a month on CL.

Very, very, very location specific. Around here it would sell low, certainly lower than the DA group is worth.

They’re coming out of the woodwork! This one just popped up on Facebook Marketplace for $100. The frame might be a little cleaner than OP’s post but looks like an older down shift group. Maybe 105? Further supports the value of the OP’s bike is pretty much just the DA group.

Looks like you are correct. The ad is already gone this morning so it either sold right away or the seller took it down. Maybe the kid finally mowed the lawn so the parents gave him his bike back. (I think this only works with cell phones these days).
