1970's Rodriguez from R+E Cycles

EDIT- D'oh. Sorry, meant this for the appraisal forum. Can you move this mod?

Purchased this with the intention of throwing on a full Shimano 6401 groupset. Unfortunately when it came, I discovered it was designed for 27" wheels and has a 120mm (5 speed) rear spacing. Quite surprising considering the vertical dropouts.

It is full Reynolds 531, including the fork. Paint is not the best. I sanded off the rusted problem areas and there is no permanent damage. But I am frustrated to admit I found a cosmetic (nonstructural) dent on the driveside chainstay.

With this in mind, I plan on selling it to recoup some costs. I live in a healthy bike market. Any clue as to it's value or desirability? It will be sold sans headset.

Cosmetic issues hurt and this is not a well known frame except in the Pacific NW. I'd be concerned about the rust if buying. I'd value it at around $150.

The wheel size and spacing are not insurmountable problems. Well maybe for the 6401 brakes, but you could get creative.

You might also give R&E a call. If they could refurbish it inexpensively, it'd be a nice frame.

It was stated that top tube rust was cleaned up and no problems… that mid tube rust region under the top tube looks Nasty.
$150 tops. Maybe a bit more if local to the builder, Maybe! Depends on what that top tube looks like below the rust
