Brake cable routing on top tube run

I’ve built a lot bikes but this is the first one with the cable routed through the top tube. It has non-aero levers and the tube holes are on the right side.

I am a stickler for crossing brake cables behind the bars above the stem. Am I supposed to cross the rear cable as I normally would and run it across the top tube to enter the tube? I haven’t actually tried it yet but seems clunky when I visualize it.
