saddle choices??
I am thinking of upgrading my saddle (Older Specialized)
I am wondering if anyone has opinions about the
specialized "alias"
or
sell italia "slk"
or
sella san marco "aspide"
These are the ones which I believe are my best choices
I would appreciate your opinions.

Unless you find someone with an identical bum as yours (including your sit bone width/size and all the bits around and in between), opinions won't give you much to go on.
The best bet is to try several out. Some folks like specialized's program of having a few different widths. Once I found the perfect saddle width/configuration back in the early 90's I've alway stuck with similar shapes. Find a dealer who will let you try a few...or a demo program like CC's.

Selle Italia (anything that cost 100$ on up)-- All the pee drain in everybody else's design don't do much for me. I tried, maybe I have balls of steel or none! My favorite Selle I can't find no more but it is one of those old Flyte w/Ti rails.

I would start with the Alias because, it's a decent saddle and, Specialized gives you 30 days to try it - which is something every saddle company should do. Terry does it too by the way - so check out the Terry Fly. Most local and internet dealers also allow one to try out their saddles. If they don't then take your business elsewhere. Its virtually impossible to tell if a saddle is right for you until you actually try it.

For my buttocks, nothing beats a Brooks. But I can't make myself put one on my sporty bike since they all weigh more than me.
The SLK is pretty comfy up to about 70 miles or so for me. If the rides a little longer, I just tough it out. The Brooks is super comfy even after 125 miles.

I have a Toupe Team on my new Tarmac. I prefer the Fizik Arione (or Aliante) that I have on my TCR. I rode it (the Tarmac) 130 miles today and it was uncomfortable for the last 40 miles or so of it. I've ridden doubles on the Aliante or Arione and never had any issues. Also, the Toupe seems to be more sensitive to the amount of padding I have in my shorts. Although not really relevant, I could ride my Arione in street clothes and even for moderate distances (e.g. 20 miles) it was not terribly uncomfortable, but I rode the Toupe in (the same) street clothes and it was uncomfortable from the moment my ass hit the saddle.

Two things I've noticed.
1. If you have any boney parts on your rear, you will feal it. I noticed the difference right at the start from the Arione to the K1. But after a bit, I didn't notice it as much.
2. This was strange. And I don't claim it was the saddle. But, my cadence (for whatever reason) felt a little better. I've changed nothing else on the bike but the saddle. Strange.

I have a Brooks on my touring bike and I would never break another one in. I have a Alias on my Roubaix and the saddle is great.

hipster traffic dodger said "get a brooks "
I rode a brooks in the age before the dinosaures, so I am familiar with the co. but after your comment I checked out the price -----HOLY COW!!!!------
How about the Sella An-Atomica ???
I ran across a leather saddle which is made in US
Does anyone know how they hold up to use and long rides?

Another vote here for the Fizik Arione. I had a Spesh Toupe, and although it appeared comfortable at first, over a few months it caused me a lot of pain to the point where I needed anti inflamatories etc.
The Arione is, and has been great for months and has just got better as I have accustomed to it. Also the extra rail length gives more postion options tha most saddles.

I've just gone through the process of having to adapt my saddles to some recent physical changes. I've posted about this in the 50+ forum. Here are links to the posts.
