So your derailleur cable snapped and your at the forum. Great! So now you need another cable, and a multi screw driver, and pliers, and grease, and a computer to look up a few Youtubes. It's gonna be allot of FUN!

One piece of info that would help is 'where did it snap?' At the the derailleur, at the shifter, somewhere in the middle, inside housing, outside housing... ? Where and how it snapped helps to determine what has to be done to fix the problem so a new one doesn't snap the same way.

Seriously? Replace it. If you actually want help you'll need to let us know what kind of bike/shifter/derailleur you have. Come on, at least help us out a little here.

Duh, if it were me, I'd either replace it or take it to the shop. Unless you like that gear, then just ride it/
