How's your set-up.....when it's NOT "staged"???

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How's your set-up.....when it's NOT "staged"???

We all love the "hot 'r' not" thread.... We love the "what road bike do you have?" thread....... But how does your ride present itself when it's decked out for a real ride?

Ugh, that sucks. This one's a '79. Two months older than I am by the serial number. I'm absolutely in love with it.

I called mine an '82 because that's the year that I bought it new. It may have been sitting around the shop for a couple years.

It was very likely an '82! The America had models from 75 to 83, and then a special edition in '87. It looks like they got the awesome 18-speed Cyclone drive train starting with the '78 model that's part of what makes this bike special. I really feel your loss. It's the kind of thing that makes me really bitter against drivers sometimes. I know accidents happen, but they just cause so much more damage when they do.

Funny how I left Syracuse in the 80's....I didn't ride seriously then as I was still in my early teen's, I never liked it there. Sure are some beautiful pictures that are coming from there though!
