Did the motorcycle jump over his truck?

Stan saw the guy on the motorcycle about to pass him and when the rear tire blew out he knew it took the motorcyclist out. Or if the straps on his load of steel sewer pipes broke he knew he killed the motorcyclist when it fell off the trailer. shock killed him by HA. Smiles, MH

A metallic projectile hopped, skipped, then jumped into Stan's head. His great astonishment was caused by the motorcyclist's drawing of the dispenser.

You're getting very close. But I will say a tire blowing out sounds nothing at all like thunder.

Motorcyclist went under the trailer causing straps to break? Pipes fall off causing thundering sound. Stan has heart attack from shock. That it?

It's obvious.

Stan is a trucker and we all know they are meth addicted drug fanatics.
He set up his tin foil and some shards, took a hit, heard the thunder, and died of a massive amphetamine heart (explosion) attack.

It was ALL right there to see when you said "flatbed truck".
Duh.

Well I guess a section of the mountain shearing off would sound like thunder, but was it above or under both he and the motorcyclist ?

Nope.

Hint: You clever fellows have determined so far that Stan's cargo became unsecured but not what the cargo was.

I want to say it was a concrete culvert, but you already said it wasn't round and heavy. Was Stan hauling pipes?
Was Stan hauling brick or blocks?
Did Stan drink a fifth of vodka, tie his girlfriend up in the trunk so he could drive both of them off a bridge?

Negatory on all that.

Since the solution relies on facts not yet in evidence, explanations given before the next clue appear are all equally valid on their face, and probably more entertaining than the end product.

Well this is harder than the 27 people died in a cabin on the side of a mountain issue. I have gone back to the original post and gleaned a few gems. Stan is heading south on I-5 in his flatbed truck loaded with construction material. His flat bed doesn't have to be a tractor trailer, but can be just a pick up with a flat bed on it. The materials may have nothing to do with his heart attack. Heading south in I-5 may mean he is in the area of Mt St Hellens at the time of the blast heard round the world. True he is about 3 hours from the blast but it is coming at over 700 mph. Which would be outside of his drivers side window. The blast would kill him for sure but the fright from knowing it is coming would kill him from fright. If a chunk of the granite was coming at him,... the saga continues

No! But that's an interesting thought. A dead end in this particular case, though.
