I was riding from Blythe. CA to Wickenburg, AZ that day, and I think these photos were taken on Arizona State Rd 60 East (SR60E).
Not certain if massive rapid development of the area was expected and civic planners were getting a jump on things, or if it was some payback in Congress for a vote, or whatever.

We rode 116 miles that day, most of it uphill and about half of it on damaged rutted roadways.
The temperature peaked at 107F.
One of my 10 hardest days on a bike.

I believe that one may be the F-84? predecessor to the F86. Not sure, and I'm not looking it up.

Well, this isn't in New York. We were in Hungary three weeks ago. In the countryside, they have storks who build nests on top of utility poles. I hope you can get an idea of how big the nest and bird are. I'm told the storks migrate from Africa.
