Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We've patched some tubes down at the shop this year, because of shortages. There were a couple of months this summer when we could not source some common tube sizes.

From the Google reviews of the Cavzestavania Bicycle Shoppe:

"I took a $3,000 bicycle home, put it in the garage, and the next morning it had a flat tyre. wut"

easy choice: welcome winter. you can get the frontal lobotomy if you wish. It may make future winters more bearable for you.

On-the-spot flat repairs turned into overnight flat repairs.

Fortunately I've not had to deal with a punctured tube in over a year, though my rear does have a robust leak.

Funny, as a dusty old fart I have been worrying about not having enough time to go fast anymore. Not that I was especially fast anyway
I did go for a 50 mile ride today with a friend and we took it easy for the most part. Longest ride since I got bruised 3 weeks ago and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would and it turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable ride. A beautiful day after a miserable summer.
